The Role

The Brand Design Team is looking for a Visual Designer to create an optimized marketing experience for our self-serve customers and prospects. You are an excellent communicator with a passion for great design and the dedication to achieve it. We seek patient and friendly individuals who are smart, curious and opinionated; individuals who have the ability to develop points of view. But we also seek those who are great listeners, consider other opinions, and are able to work well with others.



  • Design for self-serve and growth marketing campaigns for our core survey product
  • Perform work to optimize acquisition and upsell through paid and owned marketing channels
  • Oversee projects from start to finish; develop wireframes, high fidelity mockups and prototypes for landing pages, work with developers and QA to implement designs with a high level of accuracy
  • Perform A/B testing, analyze data, and present findings to make informed business decisions
  • Present and articulate concepts in a clear and focused way
  • Develop strong relationships with content, growth, and web teams to achieve successful results
  • Stay up-to-speed on emerging platforms and technologies and share your learnings with the team
  • Protect the integrity of the SurveyMonkey brand, but know that every great brand must evolve. Be willing to explore creatively.



  • 3+ years of experience in web and marketing design in an agency or in-house design team
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates exceptional creative and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in responsive web design and marketing, including mobile-first design
  • Deep knowledge of design principles, best practices, and trends
  • Interpret, translate and extend the SurveyMonkey brand to develop new experiences
  • Expert level in design tools (Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Invision)
  • Self-motivated, organized, dedicated, and with skills to balance great design on short deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to present concepts eloquently
  • Effective at collaborating on projects across multiple teams (design, content, marketing, engineering)
  • Understand business strategies, user research, and market context
  • BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design or related field
