The Role

SurveyMonkey Audience is SurveyMonkey’s market research solution. Built right into the SurveyMonkey platform, we’ve integrated with panels in over 100 countries to enable global market research anytime, anywhere, and for any budget. One of our largest SurveyMonkey Audience customer verticals is financial services, specifically researchers at hedge funds, private equity & venture capital firms, and investment banks.

In this exciting hybrid marketing role, you will lead product marketing and demand generation for the financial services vertical, and as our first vertical-specific marketing hire, you will have the ability to help shape SurveyMonkey’s vertical GTM strategy.

In this highly cross-functional and collaborative role, you will work closely with key stakeholders in product, sales, professional services, marketing, strategy and customer experience. The role includes both product marketing and demand generation responsibilities such as developing positioning and messaging, delivering sales and marketing collateral, launching new features and services, delivering qualified sales leads by creating vertical-specific campaigns and executing prospect events.


  • Lead go-to-market activities for the financial services vertical including targeting, positioning, messaging, pricing, buyer personas and competitive intelligence
  • Perform customer and market research to understand industry-specific product and services requirements and inform go-to-market strategy 
  • Collaborate with the product and professional services teams to influence feature/service development and prioritization of feature/service requests, based on market demand, competitor intelligence and sales and customer feedback
  • Lead the creation of customer-facing product content such as demo videos, website copy and customer stories to articulate the benefits of our market research offerings for financial services
  • Develop MQL and pipeline targets based on the financial services sales goal, as well as demand generation programs to hit those targets
  • Partner closely with our financial services sales team to create targeted account-based campaigns and content
  • Help optimize the sales cycle and enable the sales team through sales training, sales toolkits, battle cards, FAQs and best practices


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing to a financial services buyer
  • Experience in either a product marketing or demand generation role preferred
  • Experience marketing a research or technology product preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Independent project management skills: ability to prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward
  • Must be able to switch regularly and rapidly between strategy and execution
  • Track record of successfully influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and strong presentation skills
  • Decision making orientation around customer benefit/value
