The Role

As a French Language Manager you will be involved in ensuring that we deliver a great user experience to our international audience through high quality translations. We are looking for a highly motivated French language expert who is tech savvy and a fast learner. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for details and the ability to continuously seek out ways to improve our Linguistic QA progress. Job Responsibilities

  • Language owner for French site user interface and marketing materials
  • Hands-on linguistic QA (LQA) testing for French market
  • Maintain localization glossaries and style guides
  • Collaborate with vendor translators to ensure the quality of the translation
  • Develop linguistic QA test plans and lead LQA internal staff on executing them
  • Collaborate with engineering/product team to ensure language requirements are supported
  • Verification testing and cross-reference QA findings across multiple languages
  • Understand product specifications and identify possible pitfalls in localization

Required Job Qualifications

  • Must be native French speaker and fluent in English as well
  • 4+ years of experience in leading linguistic quality assurance teams in testing internet applications
  • Solid knowledge of internationalization and localization
  • Solid linguistic QA planning with clear verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Highly-organized, with attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience with JIRA or similar bug tracking system
  • Experience with online localization tools
  • Ability to reproduce reported issues and troubleshoot 
  • Experience in a team-oriented, deadline-driven production environment
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in translation or equivalent work experience
